If you ever want a weekend by the beach where you can just relax, breathe in the breeze and sip some wine by the shore, then, there’s no perfect place to go than Boracay. Boracay is a quaint island in Aklan holding the best sceneries in the country and one of the richest marine life. But more than being a place of serenity, Bora also hosts a lot of water activities perfect for daring tourists from cliff diving to parasailing. Here’s a quick travel guide for you if you plan to spend your vacation in this paradise!
Once you’re in Caticlan, you have to ride a boat in Caticlan Jetty Port to go to Boracay island. Boat fares are just Php 25.00 but you also have to pay a terminal fee of Php 100 and environmental fee worth Php 75. The boat will dock in Cagban Jetty Port within Boracay Island proper. And now that you’re in Boracay, it’s time to ride a multi-cab or a trike to your hotel! The island is small so all drivers would know where a certain hotel is located. All you have to do is ask. Hiring a multi-cab can take as much as PHP150-250 depending on which station you’ll stay in. Station 1 is the farthest from the port so if your hotel is located there, be prepared to pay more! Where to Stay Boracay has been hosting tourists since time immemorial. Its pristine waters have always lured people from all over the world. Hence, there's no problem when it comes to searching for a place to stay as there is a lot in Bora! When the island was reopened after its closing last 2018 for cleaning, some hotels were shut down due to incomplete permits or environmental violations. Even though this happened, a lot of the best hotels still have their doors wide open. If you want to be at the heart of Boracay, stay at Station 2 as it is near D’Mall, the best restaurants and the coolest bars at nights. Here are a few of the best hotel options out there!
